Abstract:
We pay a final tribute to the museographer, professor, ethnographer, researcher Mihai Dancus, who left behind a human life and meaningful achievements which will consecrate him among the researchers of Maramures, of the country and why not, of the world. By its professional and human value, he had essentially contributed, for almost five decades, to the developing, valuing and consolidating of all that the Maramures Museum of Sighetu Marmatiei has to offer today, but also for his gifting with which he has promoted the authentic Maramures values and culture, to the numerous symposia and scientific sessions in which he participated both in the country and worldwide. He left behind a series of manuscript works and projects, which unfortunately he was unable to complete.
