Abstract:
The influence of digital culture on museums was amplified during the period of social isolation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the digital space was the only one accessible. The article presents the reactions of museums during this period both worldwide and in the case of Romania. In this broader context, the digital communication activity of the Documentary Exhibition Centre of the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism is presented and analysed, through its main tool, the Facebook page: Museum of the School of Architecture. The text follows several ideas for creating content relevant to the Facebook network, including the MindMap tool. The conclusion of the analysis, the need for social cohesion and the communication of identity elements during the pandemic, is a provisional one that remains to be corroborated with other studies.
