Abstract:
The aim of the article is to discuss the history of the area of conservation and restoration in Romanian history. In this light, the piece summarizes the most important moment of legislation in this area of the Romanian history. So the first important moment for the subject was a law of patrimony from 1946 that introduced the concept of conservation and restoration in language and defined a school and an educational and institutional system. The next step was a bill of law from 1948, which is today in the archive and never saw the light, but it was important because it introduced the classification of cultural patrimony and in this wayit showed the relevance of applying conservational skills. Also it was important because it was the first law that acts in the name of the communist State, in the area of patrimony. Finally, the paper analyses the most important law of the patrimony, the law from 1974. This piece was intended to define, organize and put in order the management of the system and also the branch of conservation. Also it is the reason we celebrate today an important age of this domain of restoration in Romania.
