Sponsorship in Culture – a Compared Perspective [2010]
2010
Description
The study aims at examining the private financing of culture in Romania from the viewpoint of the public-private dynamics, starting from various models/traditions of culture financing, such as the French and American models.
The main objective is drawing-up the radiography of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) practices and of their impact on the cultural sector in Romania.
The research, based on questionnaires and interviews, addresses the sponsors and the beneficiaries, aiming to capture the profiles of the companies and corporate foundations which allocate money to culture, the specificity of the given contribution, as well as profiles of the beneficiaries (cultural sectors that benefitted from a more significant support, regional distribution of sponsorships, and specificity of the beneficiary organisations).
