UNESCO Culture | 2030 Indicators: Kick-off workshop for Romania
The online event took place on December 6th, 2021.

On December 6th, 2021, the first workshop for Romania took place in order to implement the UNESCO Culture | 2030 Indicators pilot project. The online event was organised by the National Institute for Cultural Research and Training (INCFC), together with the project partners: the Ministry of Culture, the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and the Cluj Cultural Centre.
The workshop was structured in two sessions, during which participants were introduced to the methodology of the UNESCO Culture | 2030 Indicators and received guidance on data collection as well as implementation at national and local levels. The workshops took place online via the Zoom platform, where participants were invited to take part in a data analysis and mapping exercise, conduct a preliminary policy review and develop a work plan that will be validated and used for project implementation.

Purpose of the UNESCO Culture | 2030 Indicators is to measure and monitor the progress made by the culture’s contribution to the implementation at a national and local level goals and objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
By strengthening the cross-cutting visibility of culture in the 2030 Agenda, UNESCO Culture | 2030 Indicators will contribute to building a coherent and strong narrative on culture and development, based on statistical evidence, in support of decision-makers.
