Romanian Journal of Museums Volume 1/2022

The last two years have brought major changes on all levels of society and implicitly in the field of culture. Museum institutions have demonstrated resources (sometimes unanticipated) in their efforts to adapt to the new context generated by the pandemic. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the strength of museum institutions to keep in touch with the public, to evolve and to regain their mission.

Therefore, within this general theme, the following sub-themes can be discussed:

  • Museums and civil society
  • Museums and their power to reinvent themselves
  • Museum and leadership
  • Museums and new technologies

The editorial board of the Romanian Journal of Museums encourages authors to explore in an original manner the potential of the chosen themes. Original contributions are also welcome on topics other than those mentioned above, insofar as they address topics in the field of museum institutions.

We launch the invitation to all specialists in the museum and related fields to send original articles to the editorial office, revistamuzeelor@culturadata.ro, by July 15th, 2022 (No. 1/2022). We mention that the authors of the best 10 selected articles will be remunerated with a gross amount of 1.400 lei/article.

As with previous issues, in order to ensure the highest level of quality of published materials, articles must comply with a well-defined set of editing rules and will be subject of the peer review process.
