The Bucharest Municipality Museum in partnership with the National Institute for Cultural  Research and Training and ARCUB – The Cultural Centre of Bucharest Municipality, has organised on September 30th 2021, the Financing for cultural projects workshop, part of the Cultural Marketing Conferences series, VIIIth edition. The event took place at the Filipescu-Cesianu House (Calea Victoriei, no. 151)

This year’s edition of the Conference was dedicated to financing available for cultural programmes. Within the Workshop we have tried to identify:

  • What are the financing programmes available nationally? What about within Europe?
  • What drafting up a winning cultural project entails?
  • How important are interinstitutional partnerships?

These are just a few questions that arise, currently, when speaking on alternative financing sources, which were approached in detail based on real experience related to this topic.

  • 11:45 – 12:10: Support mechanisms for the cultural sector in Bucharest – Mihaela Păun, Director ARCUB
  • 12:10 – 12:35: Financing the independent cultural sector– a mirror of attitudes towards culture in Romania – Iulia Iordan, Cultural educator, Da’DeCe Association
  • 12:35 – 13:00: Alternative financing resources – Oana Năsui, Cultural Manager, President of the PostModernism Museum Association
  • 00 – 13:20: Break
  • 13:20 – 13: 45: Erasmus+ Programme at the Museum of Maps – Ioana Zamfir, Museographer at the Museum of Maps and Old books
  • 13:45 – 14:10: The From Tilincă to Opincă Project. “DicționAR pe sărite” – Valentina Bâcu, Head of Creativity, The Romanian Peasant Museum
  • 14:10 – 14:35: The evolution of a cultural-social-educational project over 12 years, based on private funding – Gabriela Iordache, Programme Coordinator, The Margareta of Romania Royal Foundation
  • 14:35 – 15:00: Steps of coming up with a budget – Iulia Maiorescu, Project Manager, Learning by Teaching Association
  • 15:00 – 15:25: Financing from the Architectural StampFund– Claudia Popescu, Museographer, Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism

The organising committee for the event was composed of: Eliana Radu, Maria Sfrijan, Veronica Leca (Public Relations, Marketing, Cultural Projects & Museum Education Department – Bucharest Municipality Museum), Andreea Codreanu-Öner (Marketing, Partnerships & Communication Department – INCFC), Cristina Nichimiș (Public Relations Department – ARCUB).

Due to the state of the pandemic, the public access to the event was restricted. We will soon return with a summary of the debates and recordings of the input on the YouTube channels of the Institute and the Bucharest Municipality Museum.
