Description
The Museum of the City of Bucharest and the National Institute for Research and Cultural Training are inviting all people interested to participate in the fifth edition of the Cultural Marketing Conference, dedicated this year to the theme “Centenary in the digital”. The conference will take place on the 22nd of November (hrs. 10:00-18:00) and 23rd of November 2018 (hrs. 10:00-12:00), at the Suțu Palace, (No. 2, I.C. Brătianu Blvd., Sector 3, Bucharest).
This new edition gathers 15 professionals that have worked in the cultural sector, who will present projects developed over this past year in state museums, as private initiatives or in partnership. The first day’s presentations are launching a series of topical challenges of the field: Which are the most attractive promotion channels, which are the most efficient principles of storytelling, to what extent can cultural communication move into the virtual space and what is the mission of the traditional cultural institutions in an ever-changing communication context?
The conference will be opened by Adrian Majuru (manager, Museum of the City of Bucharest) and Carmen Croitoru (manager, National Institute Cultural Research and Training).
The themes approached are the following: Cultural heritage in the digital era – Radu Puchiu, public policies and governance consultant; Accessibility of images for the visually-impaired – Dorn Moldovanu and Dan Patzelt, Association of Urban Development; the Digital Encyclopaedia 1918 – Radu Jugureanu, SIVECO; 100 portraits of peasants – Gabriela Radoiu Les, Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania; Histories about the Great Union – Horia Iova (Museum of the City of Bucharest) and Ciprian Făcăeru (Augmented Space Agency); the Digital Platform “100 Years Ago” – Radu Olteanu, initiator of the project; Gate in the Map and the applications of the Museums of Maps – Ioana Zamfir, National Museum of Maps and Old Books; On the Path to the Great Union – interactive multimedia exhibition – Valer Rus, Mureşans House Museum, Braşov; Memory Museum – Smaranda Pasnicu and Catrinel Bejenariu, co-founder of the Punctart Association; The History of Romania told in 100 Romanian design objects – Sabina Baciu, “Oricum” Association; Centenary of Women in Romanian Art in the digital environment – Cosmin Năsui, Postmodernism Museum; Digital Communication inspired by the Centennial Year for the UAUIM’s Documentary Exhibition Centre – Claudia Popescu, University of Architecture and Urbanism “Ion Mincu”; Do we declare Romania’s book sector a marketing failure? – Mirela Matyas, Blue Masters Marketing. Moreover, the HERITART project (National Institute for Cultural Research and Training) will be presented.
The second day of the conference is dedicated to practical applications referring to the project Histories about the Great Union, then the participants will be invited to a guided visit of the thematic exhibition “Unifying physiognomies, «All in One» – the story of a country project”, hosted by the Suțu Palace.
