During these meetings, the EGMUS members focus on developing aspects related to museums such as the importance of documentation regarding the objects and collections available, the relationship between museums and their virtual (online) representations, the importance of the target groups. A major achievement of EGMUS is the standard questionnaire for collecting statistical data on museums, which should be included in future national and European surveys in order to obtain comparable statistical information on the museums of Europe.
